24 Hours in Tallinn

I’m going to apologize in advance for this article.  It won’t go into the depth and thoroughness that Tallinn deserves in a post because simply I had too much to drink on the boat ride over and didn’t take enough pictures. From boat to boat, 24 hours in Tallinn can be a bit of a roller coaster.  My recommendation is to start in Helsinki then … Continue reading 24 Hours in Tallinn

Welcome to my Nightmare – The Clown Motel in Tonopah, Nevada

This is the conclusion to my roadtrip that started with brothels, ghosts, and general Nevada awkwardness.  We had finally arrived in Tonopah where we could stay in The Clown Motel.  I have previously written articles to describe my descent into madness from certain experiences but for this location I am going to try and just stick to objective, creepy facts. First, I do not like … Continue reading Welcome to my Nightmare – The Clown Motel in Tonopah, Nevada

Suomenlinna Island

This may surprise you, but Helsinki has more to apparently offer than a super chill Teddy Bear Museum.  While I was there a friend of mine suggested visiting Suomenlinna Island Fortress which is also a UNESCO heritage site so you know the bar is already pretty high. Chinatown, San Francisco and a Strong Mai Tai

This last weekend I was in San Francisco for the O’Reilly Conference on Artificial Intelligence and if I could translate that to an experience on a travel blog somehow I probably would.  However, more appropriately, my hotel, The SF Plaza Hotel, was located right next to the famous Chinatown area and I got to spend a good amount of time there and I feel it … Continue reading Chinatown, San Francisco and a Strong Mai Tai

Quick Review – Teddy Bear Museum, Helsinki

When does a hobby move to an obsession?  When is the obsession OK?  I’m not exactly sure why those questions just popped into my head but anyway lets discuss the Teddy Bear and Hobby Museum in Helsinki.  It is a small exhibit which can be done in about a half hour and costs 4.50 Euros per person.  It is also run by a lovely couple … Continue reading Quick Review – Teddy Bear Museum, Helsinki
